Humble comes from the Latin word: humus. To be as humble as dirt (humus).
1. Gravity exists so that each one of us can be pulled to the ground. Perhaps only then, we will be able to look up. Else, we will tend to look down instead, if we aren't pulled to the ground.
2. We don't need to list our credentials, write and trumpet our resume to Him. He knows us. In fact, we are a project in-the-making and He knows the end of that project. He is the Grand Designer of our lives!
3. So, let's keep our feet on the ground/humus. Be rooted to the ground. Let's not be so full of ourselves. Empty our cups and let Him fill them. Only then, we can embrace Him in our lives.
''Take comfort for this poor man called and the Lord heard him.''
4. One thing we have to digest is, God doesn't owe us anything yet He gives us everything. Instead, we are the ones who owe Him for all the moments and significance of our lives. We owe Him for everything we have and do.
If we work for the sake of status, title and money, there's a high chance that at one point in life, we will be tired of the job. But, if we work for the right intentions, for love and passion, to reach out to those in need, to serve and glorify Him in all we do, we will not only ~love what we do~ , but eventually also ~do what we love~!
