Humble comes from the Latin word: humus. To be as humble as dirt (humus).

1. Gravity exists so that each one of us can be pulled to the ground. Perhaps only then, we will be able to look up. Else, we will tend to look down instead, if we aren't pulled to the ground.

2. We don't need to list our credentials, write and trumpet our resume to Him. He knows us. In fact, we are a project in-the-making and He knows the end of that project. He is the Grand Designer of our lives!

3. So, let's keep our feet on the ground/humus. Be rooted to the ground. Let's not be so full of ourselves. Empty our cups and let Him fill them. Only then, we can embrace Him in our lives.

''Take comfort for this poor man called and the Lord heard him.''

4. One thing we have to digest is, God doesn't owe us anything yet He gives us everything. Instead, we are the ones who owe Him for all the moments and significance of our lives. We owe Him for everything we have and do.
If we work for the sake of status, title and money, there's a high chance that at one point in life, we will be tired of the job. But, if we work for the right intentions, for love and passion, to reach out to those in need, to serve and glorify Him in all we do, we will not only ~love what we do~ , but eventually also ~do what we love~!

4. A positive woman recovers from setbacks.

•Don't see setbacks as failures. When we are tired in life, take a rest and don't choose to give up.

•Giving up is failure. So, learn to see setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow.

•We may not be where we want to be but thank God, we are NOT where we used to be.

THE CHILDLIKE

Matthew 11:25

•Wisdom can be a blessing, but it can also be a stumbling block. With too much wisdom, humans may begin to rationalize, explain and start to drift away based on their own self-centred thoughts.

•It may seem counterintuitive at first. However, without using our hearts, it's easy to become cold, impersonal, ignorant and perhaps, less compassionate.

•Our brains/minds need to be trained to see and accept what the hearts can because the heart can see and understand what the analyzing mind can't!

•Be like the children. Optimistic, curious and always willing/excited to ask, learn and explore.

•Keep a childlike perspective to be willing to learn and be wrong. It's OK to be wrong. It's alright to make mistakes. Provided we are willing to learn, crawl, climb and get back up again!

•We need childlike wisdom! Not arrogant, show-off wisdom.

3. A confident woman is positive.

•Being negative and confident do not go together. Like oil and water, they just don't mix!

•Being negative hinders us from enjoying our present blessings and seeing the blessings entering our lives.

•So, why not just look at the brighter side of things and believe that something good is going to happen?

#GivingAgain #Gifts

''What? Giving again?'' I asked in dismay. ''And must I keep giving and giving?''
''Oh,no,'' the angel replied. ''Just stop until God stops giving to you.''

1. Our human abilities are referred to as gifts because they are given to us in order to be given and shared with others. Strengthen and polish those gifts. Use them to enrich the lives of others with hope to serve and glorify His name.

2. Empty pockets will teach us a million things in lives. So, when our pockets are full, don't forget to give and share because we know exactly how it feels when we have no one or nothing.

Let's work on the spirit of giving and sharing without expecting anything in return.

Isaiah 2:2

''In days to come
the mountain of the Lord’s house
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
and shall be raised above the hills;
ALL the nations shall stream to it.''

It is mentioned ''ALL the nations'', not one, not two, not mentioned also a particular nation. It's ALL. Yes, ALL the nations shall stream to the Lord's house.

Such is the image of the Lord we worship and glorify. An INCLUSIVE God. He who is omnipotent and limitless.

2. A confident woman refuses to live in fear. Fear makes us draw back and live in misery/torment. Unless we make a firm decision to "fear not", we will never stop fearing. Don't fear.

•As we look around at His blessings in our lives, close the eyes and look inwards. He has provided us with an abundance of grace and peace.

Grace and peace be yours in abundance. - 1 Peter 1:2

•Grace that allows you to be who you genuinely are and the peace of knowing that who you are is just fine with Him.

•Women are wonderfully emotional people, the keepers of inner life.

•If our inner selves are dark and empty, invite Him to fill the spaces with His overflowing goodness.

1. A confident woman knows that she is loved. -Joyce Meyer

•Because her faith lies in The Lord who provides, The Lord who says this: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you through and through. I chose you to be mine. Before you left mother's side, I called to you, my child to be my sign!''
•Her foundation lies in The Lord who loves abundantly.
•Her dream reminds her of the Servant King who comes to the world, not to be served but to serve.

To be loved means to love.

What speaks to the people around us? If its confidence, then, encourage them. If its strength, support them.

Achieving greatness starts with small packages such as love.

So, be kind, spread compassion because Hate itself : has caused a lot of problems in this world but it has not solved one yet (Maya Angelou).

The world doesn't need more negativity and hatred. It needs Minds that think for the good of all, Eyes that notice, Ears that listen, Voices; not Echoes that speak up for what's right, Hands that give and help others, Feet that move and walk in His light as well as Hearts that understand, care and love.

Gratitude is an interesting attribute. Take dogs, for example. They are reliable, grateful and loyal. Unlike cats. Cats are arrogant. But, I love cats anyway.

Gratitude is the memory of the heart. We can be grateful because we remember. We remember those who offer us help, those who stand by our side during our times of sorrow, anxiety, etc. We say Thank You because we are indebted to them. We owe it to them. We hold them and everything they say and do in our hearts. When we realize and appreciate something we have received, which we don't exactly/entirely deserve in the first place; that's gratitude too.

When we pray for someone/something and we receive the blessings, do we say, ''Thank you, God! I'll see you again during my next crisis. Bye!''?

NO, we don't! We are grateful instead. But, where does this gratitude lead us to??

We need gratitude so that we can remember our faith. Concurrently, faith makes and reminds us to be grateful.

John 18:36

The divine Person of Christ had been manifested; the voluntary offering of Himself had been made, and that, in order to protect His own; and now His perfect obedience is at the same time displayed.
He, the Servant King who comes into this world to serve and not to be served.

John 19:2

Christ put on a crown of thorns so that we can have a crown of righteousness.
And, yes, I'm a Princess because God, my Father is my King.

God often uses small matches to light up great torches.

No matter how small you feel in this world, he has something big in store for us.  :D

John 17:11-12

God has a blessing for each one of us, with our names on it.

John 14:27
In particular; that peace which we enjoy is created and given by Him.

Peace in general means peace with Him and with our own consciences. Peace is put for all good, and He has left us all that is really and truly good, all the promised good as well as the peace of mind.

He is Himself the Peace.

Unsatisfying unsettled, transient; but filling the soul with constant, even tranquillity.

May the Lord evermore give us this peace. So, we may serenely pass through the most turbulent scenes of life.

John 14:14

Ask and you'll receive.
He is never blind to your tears, never deaf to your prayers and never silent to our disappointments. He sees, He hears and He will deliver. In His time.

John 13:15

From yesterday's pardon, we should be strengthened against this day's temptation.
Observe the lesson the Servant King taught in this chapter. Duties are mutual; we must both accept help from our brethren, and afford help to our brethren. When we see our Master serving, we cannot but see how ill it becomes us to domineer. And the same love which led him to accept the Father's will in order to give us the ticket of salvation.

It is up to us to claim or cancel that ticket.
