I counted that there will be around 3 weeks left before we; PPC will part ways, wait for interview & posting, and embark on another new, enriching adventure in the education world.

How time flies! We reported as a team on 18 Sept last year after returning from the wherever lands that hold so much memories, hopes and dreams for us to progress and be better ambassadors of love and inspiration to our kids. I still remember our very first project; the mission-impossible, last minute Permainan Tradisional where Yasir absurdly dressed like a coach/welcoming winter (?), Anwar and Zizan lost to me in Congkak, Isha and I did 400 goodie bags. That was also the first time I heard of the Baling Selipar game!

I guess we are like crayons; some are sharp like Zizan's laser/witty comments, some are unbreakable like Bunga's semangat, some are dull /dark (No, I will be nice and not write Azri's name but oh yeah I just did :P), while others bright, but we all have learned to live together in the same box and are/will be used to produce wonderful masterpieces.

I'm glad that I am doing this KPLI PPC course with you guys; MT1 and MT2 alike.

Together, we are strong. Together, we are a brilliant team.
Together, somehow, in our spirit of camaraderie/semangat kekitaan, let's spend the remaining weeks- enjoying ourselves and encouraging each other to survive lectures.

One day in the years to come, one of us may be our Education Minister, KPM high-ranking officers, national football/netball coach (unlikely), IPG directors, novelist, clown (maybe for Fird) and many, many more- I dont know! It would be exciting to see how we all turn out in years to come. God-willing, pendidik cemerlang ~ all of us!

Im suddenly attacked by emo enzymes but when the time comes, let's not say ''Goodbye''. Instead, let's coolly say, ''See you all again''. Because we are a family. I'm not lucky to be part of this family. Way beyond lucky, I'm truly blessed.

''Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten.''
-(Lilo & Stitch)

Ok, don't forget. When the time comes, it's ''See you, again, Audrey'' and not ''Goodbye, Audrey''. Unless, you want me to yell ''YAAAA!'' in your face.

our team with Mr Soo, a simple man but rich in values and humility.
One figure whose personality I salute and respect.

I came across this interesting, share-worthy article from Christian Singles.

:D

A letter to single girls
Dear Single Girl,
I don’t know you personally, yet, but there are a few things I want to tell you with the hope that I will get to know you some day. Actually, there are 5 things I want you to know:

1. How to get a man’s attention
The guy that you are looking for isn’t attracted to charm as much as he is Godliness because beauty fades but Godliness GROWS (1 Peter 3:3-5). I know that the culture will tell you that guys are turned away and intimidated by girls that love Jesus and have strong values and convictions. Culture is wrong; boys may be turned away by strong convictions, but men are not. Be the woman God has called you to be, and a godly man will notice.

2. Run from “Prince Charming”
Some girls seem to give attention to every smooth talker and cool dresser that comes their way. Please don’t do that; be patient and wait on a man who is concerned with pursuing Jesus, not another trophy. Only give the GROWING, God fearing man a chance to pursue you. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain (Prov 31:30).

3. I am just a guy, not a god
A guy will crumble under the weight of being your god. No other person can complete you or make you happy. There are lots of great physical and emotional benefits that come from a relationship, but none of it is enough to sustain a healthy loving marriage if your faith is not in Jesus. No guy will complete you, so don’t put him on that pedestal (he will fall).

4. Don’t wait on me, pursue Jesus
From my male perspective, there is nothing more attractive than a woman being obedient to Jesus and taking the risk to follow Jesus wherever He leads. Too many times I notice girls in the church just sitting and waiting on a man to come and rescue them from a life of boredom. When it comes time for me to pick a partner, I want somebody that can follow me on an adventure, not someone that is used to doing nothing and complaining about the fact that no one is interested in them. Pursue Jesus and I will pursue you when He gives me the green light.

5. Time is not running out
Singleness is a gift, not a curse. You want to be beautiful? Put your hope in God and don’t give way to fear; trust his timing (1 John 4:18). Don’t waste your single years by always waiting on what is next and turning yourself into a man chaser. Let’s follow God right now and trust Him to take care of the next. God is sovereign and able to direct both of us to each other when the time is right.

Until Then,
A Single Guy

13 July 2013

Doing good isn't easy. There are always unforeseen obstacles and challenges.

But that shouldn't stop us from doing good in life.

When we are faced with problems especially in this field, that's when our hope, love, patience and passion are being put to test. That's also when we may turn weak and be undecided to choose between the two:
1. Give up.
2. Face it. Carry on.
Facing similar situation before, I remember the sisters telling me:
Don't be crushed, don't be disheartened. Think of the purpose. Think of the kids. Think of the reason we held on for so long in the beginning. We must still proceed regardless of the thorns coming in our way.

So, yes, of course, its a 180 degree change of plan, but shall still proceed sincerely and joyfully; keeping in mind of the purpose. Either way, lets be thankful of this opportunity. After all, we humans plan, but in the end, God decides. I've faith in His plan and I'm sure it's a bigger and better one.

I just came back from Rumah Permata Kasih at Permatang Pauh.  The kids are so positive and active.
I thank all my friends and lecturers for their support; be it in terms of materials, cash, prayers and well wishes.  Thanks for making this a reality.
May God's blessings be upon you all always.
